It’s been a long wait for football fans, but finally the Premier League and Serie A are back in June! The 2020 Premier League schedule kicks off again on 17 June, and three days later sees the restart of Italy’s Serie A with a weekend full of action!

The first football matches to take place behind closed doors are Manchester City vs Arsenal and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United on Wednesday, 17 June, which ensures that all clubs will have played 29 Premier League games. This will be followed by a full schedule on the weekend starting 19 June with some top fixtures, including Everton vs Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United.

As things stand in the Premier League table, there’s still plenty to play for. While Liverpool already look like they’ve ran away with the title, sitting 25 points clear of their nearest rivals Manchester City, there’s a battle ahead for European Cup places for the top 10 clubs.

Serie A 2020 schedule

The Italian government have given the green light to the restart of Serie A on Saturday, 20 June. The action begins with Torino vs Parma and Verona vs Cagliari, followed by matches between third-placed Inter Milan vs Sampdoria and Atalanta vs Sassuolo the following day. The plan is to have teams play two games a week for the rest of the season in order to catch up as Juventus, Lazio and Inter Milan battle for the league title.
